Are standing desks worth it?
For most people who sit all day, being able to switch between sitting and standing helps reduce stiffness and keeps you moving. The key is alternating positions — not standing all day.
How long should I stand each day?
A common starting point is to alternate every 30 to 60 minutes. Begin with short standing sessions and build up as it feels comfortable.
What's the right desk height for standing?
Set the top so your elbows rest at about a 90° angle and your screen sits near eye level. Memory presets make it easy to return to your ideal height.
Single motor or dual motor?
Dual-motor desks generally lift faster, hold more weight, and feel steadier. Single-motor desks cost less and work fine for lighter, single-monitor setups.
How much should I spend?
Capable desks span a wide range. Spend more for a wider height range, higher weight capacity, and a longer warranty. The prices on this site are illustrative examples only.
Is assembly difficult?
Most sit-stand desks ship as a frame plus a top and take under an hour with two people. The frame is the heavy part, so having a helper makes it easier.
Will the desk wobble when raised?
A slight sway at full height is normal. Wider frames and dual motors tend to feel more stable, especially once monitors and gear are loaded on.
